The quiet pebbly beach Karavostasi lies 12 km South from Agios Nikolaos, west of the resort village Istron and on the main road leading from Agios Nikolaos to Sitia and Ierapetra. Beach is sheltered from the wind. It is well organized and offers all the comforts and facilities of an organized beach bathers (sunbeds, umbrellas, sea sports etc). The journey by car from Saint Nicholas takes about 15 minutes.
